Anthyllis barba-jovis is a small mediterranean shrub for sunny locations and very well-drained, poor soil. It flowers yellowish-white in late spring and its silvery-green soft foliage is persistent. It tolerates drought very well (Olivier Filippi code secheresse 5 of 6) and is hardy to -12°C.
It grows to about 125 x 80 cm and should not be pruned or relocated, due to its long tap root. It may reseed itself in the garden. It is a protected species in France.
I planted mine in December 2024 and so far it has bloomed but not grown much.
